Grade 6 & 7 Band Program at Chalmers Elementary:
In September 2012, elementary schools throughout the Delta School District offered school-based instrumental music programs for all Grade 6 & 7 students. At Chalmers, a band program was developed for our Grade 6 & 7 students. The band program at Chalmers is one of the largest in the Delta School District, with just over 130 students participating. With patient guidance and fine instruction from our new band teacher, Ms. Disney, our Grade 6 & 7 students are learning how to read music and play their band instruments. Last December, Ms. Disney held our first band concer of the school year. Our Grade 6 & 7 students played a variety of songs that they had learned over the previous couple of months. The concert culminated with our Grade 6 & 7 band students playing a few songs together. The following are some photos from our AMAZING band concer... enjoy!!
